Copying a document using the Caslon Open Face Font from another computer doesn’t work either. Thanks, Jane B Dear Jane, Any version of Windows will use any font that is installed in the “Fonts” folder. To see that folder, click on “Start” then “My Computer”. Inside the My Computer window, double click on your C: drive to open it, then double click on your “Windows” folder and finally on the “Fonts” folder. Inside this folder, you will see all of the fonts that are installed on your system (I have over 800) If the font you are trying to use is in that folder, then you SHOULD be able to use it. If it is in the folder, and you are unable to use it, the font file is probably corrupted and will need to be replaced. To install a new font on your system, you would need to have the font somewhere on your computer, or on a removable device like a CD or data stick. Once you have the new font, and know its location, click on “Start” and then “Control Panel” In the Control Panel window, double-click the Fonts folder. If you don’t see the “Fonts” folder, click on “Change to Classic View” in the left hand side of the window. In the Fonts folder window, click on “File” in the menu bar, then click on “Install New Font”. To locate the font you want to install, select the drive your font is on, and then find the folder on that drive that contains the font. The fonts in the folder will appear under “List of Fonts”. Next, click on the fonts you want to install. To select more than one font, hold down the CTRL key and click each font. You also want to make sure the “Copy fonts to the Fonts folder” check box is selected. Now, simply click OK to install the fonts.
