NewEngland.com, is a multi-portal website designed to be the ultimate online resource for the New England region offering original expert content on New England travel, lifestyle, food, the best events and so much more. Published by Yankee Magazine, the website features the most authoritative and respected voices on the New England lifestyle, and its community of contributing writers, bloggers, photographers and local experts embedded throughout the region. In addition to featuring original content, NewEngland.com also serves as the new online home for Yankee Magazine. Yankee subscribers have web access to every article from the current issue in addition to 10 years’ worth of archives. Non-subscribers can access a limited number of articles every month for free. The New England Network features four additional portals offering specific areas of interest for everyone: New England Today(a daily section featuring original articles) and New England Guides (downloadable free guides about dozens of topics, such as best seafood recipes and best vacations).
Yankee Magazine
Based in Dublin, New Hampshire, Yankee: New England’s Magazine was founded in 1935 and is the iconic American magazine covering the finest that New England has to offer. Covering classic New England travel destinations, food traditions, and home and lifestyle stories with stunning photography and artwork, Yankee has featured many notable American writers in its pages such as Robert Frost, John Updike, and Stephen King. With a total circulation of nearly 275,000 and a total audience of 1.3 million readers, the magazine is published by Yankee Publishing Inc. (YPI), an independent media company. Weekends With Yankee
Weekends With Yankee is a new travel and lifestyle series set to premiere on public television stations nationwide Spring 2017. Named for the long-running publication enjoyed by readers across America for more than 80 years, the series is a joint effort of Yankee magazine and public media powerhouse WGBH. With New England among the nation’s top tourist destinations, the documentary series will take viewers on an insider’s exploration from city to countryside and far-flung places in New England.
Over the course of 13 half-hour episodes, viewers will be guided through New England by Emmy Award-winning TV travel host, explorer and author Richard Wiese. The series will tap into Yankee’s insider secrets and behind-the-scenes access to the unique attractions that define the region, and the hidden New England that only locals know. Wiese will be joined in his travels by Yankee’s Senior Food Editor, Amy Traverso, who will share the recipes, local flavors and sense of community that make up the fabric of the region’s food and dining scene.
