Photographs of Winter Harbor, Maine
Tucked just at the edge of Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor is the epitome of that classic Maine town we all dream about when we think of summer. The coastal town draws in artists, fishermen and vacationers alike. Please enjoy these select photographs of Winter Harbor, Maine, captured by contributing photographer Carl Tremblay last year.

Well written article with remarkable insite to Winter Harbor and its residents.
We lived in Readfield and Winthrop over 5 years. Visit friends in Mt Vernon yearly. Am Boston by background. San Diegan by acquisition and Mainer by choice.
I was stationed at NSGA Winter Harbor ,1972-1973. I remember Winter Harbor as living in a lpost card. It was beautiful in the summer. The winter although very cold that post card came to life . My wife and I lived on Main St just up from the post office. it was white apartment building and in the back yard you could walk down to the harbor and sit on the rocks and watched all the boats at anchor.
There was a restaurant called if I remember ccalled the Family Resturant that had the best food in town. Also because I was in the Navy at the time I was also a menber of the volunteer fire team from the
Naval Station.I have a lot of very fond memories of Winter Harbor.
I was just checking out Yankee Magizine and i came upon this article.
I also remember that Tut Tuttle from the Bert and I comedy team picked us up from the airport in Bangor late one night upon arrival to the duty station.
