    1. My job in the late 70’s working for the D.O.T was route 15 the merrit parkway it is a beautiful road, dark at night though! Lot of venison in the winter. I got a call about 1 in the morning from a state trooper to remove a D.A from the road (dead animal) i told him to drag it to the side of the road he told me he couldn’t i thought a dog deer no it was a horse it made me feel very sad that this majestic animal that was hit by a car no one in the car was hurt that made feel better . lots of memorys on route 15

    2. I always called route 1 the Boston post road not knowing what it really meant until about 15 years ago reading my yankee magazine in Florida moved here 1988 that if you follow the trail you would see post in the ground that went from new york to Boston giving it the name Boston post road
