My favorite is the Park St Station and One Beacon in Boston in the snow.
Ours was the Christmas cover from 1969, our 1st . Still have the issue.
A tie between 1960 and 1983…..gorgeous!!!
My favorite is 1989. Beautiful!
I’ve always loved the art work of Maxwell Mays . actually, I prefer all the older covers with art work, not just photos of decorations.
The artwork is lovely–disappointed that the very talented artists did not receive credit in the tag lines under their cover art.
The illustrated covers are so much lovelier than the photo covers. Also, so weird that the beautiful cover from 1987 features the prominent headline “Gruesome Murder Unsolved After 30 Years”. Quite the holiday sentiment!
I agree with barbaraw44, what beautiful covers the artists produced. I applaud Yankee never changing its logo, it’s as iconic as the graphic covers were.
Hands down, the illustrated covers win! The 1958 cover is so much in vogue today! Very strong design. Yes the typeface remained the same- however it got larger as the years went on!
The Yankee Christmas ???? covers would make beautiful Christmas cards. ????
1961 is my favorite! I love the detail work and can spend a lot of time examining it!
Really love the illustrated covers ❤️
