Allison V. Smith is a fine art, freelance editorial photographer based in Dallas, Texas with strong family ties to Rockport, Maine. She has been both a past student and instructor at the Maine Media Workshops and in celebration of their 40th anniversary, currently has work in their show at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. She worked full-time as a photographer for seven newspapers for over fifteen years after receiving a journalism degree from Southern Methodist University. Her fine art projects include exploring and documenting the landscape and personality of Marfa, Texas and Rockport, Maine. The following slideshow represents some of her personal work captured during her summers in Maine.
