Visiting apple orchards and pumpkin patches are two of fall’s greatest pleasures. In search of the perfect pumpkin for this year’s front stoop? Here’s a list of some of the best New England pumpkin patches to help you find it.

Sam Mazza’s | Colchester, VT
Pick a pumpkin after taking a spooky hayride that winds through a haunted forest. Take a rest at the picnic pavilion to admire your treasure. Starting the last weekend of September to the third weekend of October.

Isham Family Farm | Williston, VT
Farmer Mike and the Isham Family Farm is ten miles south of Burlington, VT. Now listed on the National Register of Historic places, this farm was built by settlers in 1788. Pumpkins scattered across two acres of pumpkin patches are sold according to size not weight and the sunflower maze stays open through late September.

This farm market and winery has a pumpkin patch right next to the Little Red Barn where you can wheel a friend or a pumpkin around in a wagon. Pumpkins are pre picked and arranged by size. Enjoy kettlecorn or check out the hay pyramid.
