North Conway, nh best local shops you can avoid the outlets but shop LL Bean!
Jackson NH stay at the Christmas Farm Inn in the Carriage House. Make sure you have dinner at the Inn one evening very quaint and fabulous. In Jackson you can do s sleigh ride in this quaint town. North Conway just down the road and go to Dekabeys for pub style food and drink… so good!
Newburyport MA of course–and no, I don’t live there.
We love the quaint Village of Woodstock VT…great shops, beautiful area…a must visit.

Falmouth, MA. is also great and their Holiday Parade is always excellent.
Essex, CT, Great Barrington, MA, Stowe, VT. Burke, VT, and Boston all great too.
Downtown Chatham is fun and there are excellent pubs and taverns. Lighthouse and Morris Bird Sanctuary for nature lovers.
“Faces” in Northampton, MA, closed several months ago.
Ridgefield, CT is a must see for the holidays….especially when there is a light snow fall….
