Where to Stay in Ipswich, Massachusetts:
The Inn At Castle Hill
The long view from the front overlooks marshes and the edge of Crane Beach, a 10-minute stroll away. Many guests come to watch birds, others to rock the day away on the broad veranda.

Where to Eat in Ipswich, Massachusetts:
The Clam Box: Whimsically shaped like its namesake container, this local institution has been serving deep-fried seafood since 1935. You won’t find a crispier or more honest-tasting fried clam, so don’t be put off by the long lines.

Great Attraction in Ipswich, Massachusetts:
Wolf Hollow
This non-profit organization was established in 1990 and offers a unique opportunity to view gray wolves in as natural a setting as possible. Come see how they interact with their pack members and live in a social unit very similar to human families.

Ipswich is a well-preserved Puritan town and a wonderful place to live. It has more “First Period” houses than any other town in America. View the houses and the stories of the people who lived in them at http://ipswich.wordpress.com. Visit the Ipswich Historical Commission site at http://historicipswich.org
Having roots in Ipswich back to the 1600’s compelled me to this wonderful small town with a village flavor. The people here are genuine, warm and friendly. The food is straight foward and fresh, and the beach is prestine! Pop in for lunch at the 5 Corners Cafe, tour the 1st period houses, stroll the beach, and grab an evening game at the Choate Pub for a great weekend experience!
My favorite beach when I was growing up. Never bothered with the traffic hassle to go to the Cape. From Newton, it was easier to go north to beautiful uncluttered Crane’s Beach!
