Well, not really. Fact is, they originated in New England...

Judson D. Hale

Born in Boston and raised on a dairy farm in Vanceboro, Maine, Jud graduated from Dartmouth College (Class of 1955) in 1958. He worked for Yankee and The Old Farmer's Almanac for more than 50 years, retiring as editor-in-chief.
