1. 1 lb. bacon, cooked and chopped
2. 5 c. frozen petite peas
3. 8 oz. sliced water chestnuts, diced or not – I like them diced
4. 1 c. frozen pea pods
5. 1/2 c. chopped red onion
6. 1/4 c. mayo
7. 1/4 c. sour cream
8. 1/8 tsp white pepper
9. 1/8 tsp salt
Run cold water over frozen peas and pea pods to thaw. Mix first 5 ingredients together. Mix last 4 ingredients together to make dressing and coat the salad.
Refrigerate overnight.
