Greensboro, Vermont is one of our favorite New England hidden gems. An “off the beaten path” travel destination tucked into the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, the town of Greensboro offers the perfect window into small town life. Its beauty draws not just artists and authors, but many other visitors that return each summer to enjoy the serene waters of Caspian Lake. Greensboro serves as home base to Circus Smirkus, a traveling troop of young acrobatic performers who make their mark throughout the region during the summer, and catch-all shopping happens in town at Willey’s Store. There, you can find anything you need to clothe, entertain, and feed yourself, and with a prime Vermont location, it’s also the perfect setting for a cheesemakers’ paradise.
Please enjoy these images of the quiet beauty of Greensboro, Vermont from photographer Corey Hendrickson. Greensboro is just one of a half-dozen towns featured in our March/April 2016 feature cover story, “Hidden New England | 6 Special Places You’ll Want to Discover.”
