Rhode Island Dam

This Dam is located in the Burriville section of Rhode Island and is quite old to say the least. As I studied its construction, it amazed me the all the granite blocks just lay there in rows, one on top of the other. No telling what is on the other side or how it was constructed more than two hundred years ago. Truly a treasured spot in Rhode Island.

A stone dam with cascading water over the edge, surrounded by greenery and a partially dry riverbed. Trees with early autumn foliage are in the background.
