1 loaf French bread
soft butter or margarine
1 tbsp wine vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp garlic salt
4 or 5 crisp lettuce leaves
1/2 lb siced salami
2 tomatoes, sliced
salt and pepper
4 ounces sliced swiss cheese
1/2 lb boiled ham
1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
1 large red onion, sliced
Cut bread horizontally in half. Spread bottom half with butter. Stir together vinegar, oil and garlic salt; dip lettuce leaves into mixture. Layer lettuce, salami, tomatoes on buttered bread; season with salt and pepper. Layer remaining ingredients on tomatoes. Place top half of bread on filling; secure with toothpicks.
