Unbaked Cookies

My grandmother made these from my earliest recollections (1950’s era). She made these and every year she would send a big box of goodies to us for Chrismtas and this was what my brothers and I looked for before any toys, clothes or other food stuff.
Yield
A couple of dozen
Ingredients
1/4 c. peanut butter
2 c. white granulated sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 stick oleo (margarine)
Instructions
Cook the above 1 minute to a rolling boil then:
Add 3 c. Quick Oatmeal
3 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
Add nuts and dates as desired.
Drop by spoonful on waxed paper or table top.
