The Captain’s French Toast

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, melted
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 cup honey
12 slices white toasting bread, more if the bread is soft

Topping:
1-1/2 cups milk
1-1/2 cups orange juice
1/2 cup sugar
8 eggs
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread bottom of 9×13-inch pan with butter, cinnamon, and honey. Spray sides of pan with butter-flavored non-stick cooking spray and layer the bread on top. Combine the topping ingredients and pour over the bread. Bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until puffed and lightly browned.
