My mom was good at using leftovers to create new meals and this is one she came up with to use up the leftover mashed potato. Perfect for the night that you just don’t have the time to make a fancy dinner.
Hot Dogs
American Cheese slices (or your own choice of cheese)
Leftover mashed potato
B&M beans
maple syrup
Slice hot dogs down the middle from end to end. Be sure not to cut completely through hot dog.
Put cheese into the slice you just made, then put potato on top of the cheese.
Bake at 375-400 degrees just until the potato starts to brown a little.
Heat up beans on the stove and add maple syrup to taste (I like a lot of maple syrup).
