Southwest Stew

Found this in a magazine several years ago. My family can’t get enough.

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
1 small onion chopped
1 can (16 ounces) pinto beans
1 can (16 ounces) whole corn
1 28 ounce can chopped tomatoes
1 cup water
1 cup (or to taste) picante sauce
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt to taste (2 teaspoons)
pepper to taste (1/2 teaspoon)

Instructions

Brown the ground beef with the onion. Add all the rest of the ingrediants and heat. It is ready to eat, (If your family doesn’t like the chopped tomtoes, like mine, use a blender on the can of tomatoes). Serve with tortilla chips or corn bread and graded cheddar cheese.
