Pecan Pie Brownies (The Variation)

You can use your favorite homemade brownie recipe here, but this is so simple, and so wonderful. Pecan pie, move over.

Ingredients

1 package fudge brownie mix (with or without walnuts)
1 recipe Best Pecan Pie filling

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 11×8-inch glass casserole dish with nonstick spray; set aside. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions (the “fudge brownie” variation). Pour into pan and spread evenly.

Bake 20 minutes, or until a crust forms on the surface; crust will be firmer around the edges. Remove from oven; slowly ladle Best Pecan Pie filling over brownies. Return to oven; bake 20 to 25 minutes longer, or until pecan mixture stops jiggling in the center. Cool completely.

  1. I made this dessert for Christmas Eve. It is a keeper! It is rich and moist but not too sweet. Was good with whipped cream.

  2. I made this as part of my mother’s 80th birthday celebration. It was VERY well recieved. As I am from Quebec (producing 95% of the world’s maple syrup) I used maple syrup in place of the corn syrup.
