Oven Baked Rice

What’s the best way to cook rice? Use this recipe for oven baked rice, but remember to use long-grain rice, not minute rice.


Serves 6.


1-1/2 cups long-grain rice
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons butter
3-1/2 cups boiling water


Combine and stir all ingredients until the butter is melted. Cover and bake for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Do not remove the lid while the rice is in the oven. When done, fluff lightly with fork.
