If there’s one food item that needs jazzing up, it’s a pork chop. And while there doesn’t seem to be anything special about this recipe for Orange Pork Chops on paper, the finished product is exceptionally good.

Yield:

Serves 4.

Ingredients

4 thick pork chops
1 clove garlic
grated rind of 1 orange
1 cup orange juice
1 cup sour cream

Instructions

Rub the pork chops with the garlic clove. Trim off the fat and rub it over the inside of the frying pan. Brown the meat. Place in a covered casserole with the orange rind and juice and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.

Before serving, add the sour cream, which has been brought to room temperature, to the juices in the casserole. This goes well with Oven Baked Rice.
