Mom’s Best Meat Loaf

This recipe was in Taste of Home magazine and was submitted by a Linda Nilsen. So I clipped it out for my collection.

Yield

6 to 8 servings

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cup soft bread crumbs
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp chopped green pepper
1 tbsp catsup
1to 1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp prepared horseradish
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp dill weed
Additional catsup

Instructions

In large bowl, combine the first 12 ingredients; mix well. Press into an ungreased 8 /12 in x 4 1/2 in. x 2 21/2 in loaf pan. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour. Drizzle top of loaf with additional catsup; bake 15 minutes more or until no pink remains.
