MeMa’s Crock Pot Chicken and Dressing

I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. It tastes great!

Ingredients

2 sticks margarine, melted
2 cups chopped onion
2 cups chopped celery
1 1/2 to 2 cups chicken broth
1 large skillet of cornbread (see *)
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp pepper
1 can golden brown mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 eggs, well beaten
2 or 3 cups cooked chicken
*(I use 2 boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix for cornbread)

Instructions

Melt 1 Tbsp margarine in skillet and saute celery and onion.

In very large bowl, mix all ingredients except chicken.

Fold in chicken.

Place in crock pot.

Cook on high for 45 minutes, then turn to low for 4 hours.
