Lemon Squares 8×8

Ingredients
1 c flour
1/2 c butter, softened
1/4 c powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 c sugar
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
2 t grated lemon peel
2 T lemon juice
Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degr. Mix flour, butter and powdered sugar. Press in ungreased square pan, 8x8x2, or 9×9, building up 1/2 inch edges. Bake 20 minutes. Beat remaining ingredients until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Pour over hot crust. Bake until no indentation remains when touched lightly in center, about 25 minutes. Cool; cut into about 1 1/2 inch squares.
