Honey Chip Granola Bars

Yield

14 dozen

Ingredients

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 pound mini-mallows
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup peanut butter
5 cups old fashioned oats
4 1/2 cups rice krispies
1 cup graham cracker crumbs (16 squares)
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup crushed peanuts
1/2 cup mini chips (or large chips – processed to break up)

Instructions

In large saucepan – combine butter, oil and mallows. cook and stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and honey.

Combine oats, cereal, crumbs, coconut and peanuts. Add to mallow mix – mix very well.

Press into a greased 15″ x 10″ x 1″ pan. cool 10 minutes and THEN press chips into top. Cool completely before cutting into bars…
