Eastman Inn’s Christmas Crescent Cookies

Yield

Makes 3 dozen.

Ingredients

1/2 pound butter
2 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
5 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Cream butter and add sugar, vanilla and water. Sift flour and salt together and stir into butter mixture. Add pecans and mix thoroughly. Using portions about the size of a small walnut, roll into crescent-shaped cookies. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
