Double Chocolate Brownies

4 squares (1 oz each) – unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 room temp – eggs
2 cups granualted sugar
1 cup sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla
6 oz semisweet chocolate chips


Melt butter and chocolate together (however you prefer to do so). Let cool slightly.

Beat eggs until frothy – gradually add sugar. Stir in melted chocolate; blend well. Gradually add flour mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and chcolate chips. Butter a 9-inch square pan – spread batter evenly within – bake in preheat 325 degree oven for 35/37 minutes. DO NOT over bake.

Mark into squares while hot and cut through when cooler.
