Sour Cream Elderberry Pie

This recipe for elderberry pie — which has been handed down for several generations — can be made with fresh or home canned berries for a summer picnic table or Thanksgiving feast.


1 cup elderberries
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
pastry for a two-crust pie


Preheat oven to 375°

Stir the filling together and bake in a two-crust pie for approximately 40 minutes.
