Cheese Wafers

These cheese wafers are far superior to the expensive crackers you buy. Make these up and just keep them in the refrigerator until ready to bake.

Yield

Makes 4 dozen wafers.

Ingredients

1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated 4 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup flour
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Cream cheese thoroughly with butter and add the flour. Add seasonings and form into a roll one inch in diameter. Wrap the roll in wax paper and chill thoroughly.
To bake, cut the roll in slices 1/8 inch thick. Bake in a 475 degrees F oven for 8 minutes or until golden brown.
