2 pounds swordfish steaks, 1-1/4 inches thick
6 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon anchovy paste
freshly ground black pepper
lemon halves
Grease a broiler rack and heat it in the oven. Place the swordfish on the rack and spread lightly with butter. Broil 4 or 5 minutes. Place on a very hot platter. Combine the remaining butter with the anchovy paste in a small saucepan. Melt and pour over the swordfish. Grind the pepper over the steaks and serve immediately with lemon halves.
