Simple Broccoli Salad

This makes a large salad, important to use 2 bunches of broccoli, not just two heads.

Ingredients

2 bunches fresh broccoli
1 pound bacon
2 cups mayonnaise
1 cup onion, diced or equal amount minced onion
4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup sugar, or honey
1 cups raisins

Instructions

Wash broccoli and cut into 1-inch pieces. Fry bacon until crisp, drain well. Combine and refrigerate. Combine dressing ingredients 4-5 hours before serving. Chill until serving time. Mix broccoli/bacon with dressing and serve.

  1. This is excellent, and very similar to the other two broccoli salads. I like to use currents instead of raisins, for a more subtle flavor. Same goes for red onion replacing yellow (white).
