This is one of the easiest desserts you may ever make. This pie holds up beautifully and is delightfully sweet–yet the filling contains no eggs or added sugar. (The crust, a rare indulgence, contains 6-9 grams of sugar.) If your diet allows it, a dab of whipped cream really makes this dish sing.

Yield

6 servings

Total Time

25 minutes

Ingredients

6 medium-size bananas (or 5 large)
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup walnuts, plus extra, chopped, for topping
1 premade Oreo-cookie or graham-cracker pie shell
Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°. In a blender, combine bananas, almond milk, and walnuts until smooth. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle walnut pieces on top. Bake 1 hour. Let cool, and chill at least 2 hours. Serve topped with unsweetened whipped cream.
