Banana Gingerbread

Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp cardamon
Pinch nutmeg
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup mashed banana (2 large)
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup buttermilk
4 tbsp veg oil

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and spices. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, bananas, molasses, milk and oil. Pour the wet into dry and mix until just combined. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
