The tradition of the New England clambake existed even before New England itself was born. Clambakes reveal the nature of true New Englanders, demanding hard work, persistence, and appreciation of native seafood. The Day family of Prudence Island, located in Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay, has been clambaking for decades.
