Practically every child in America has had a Wiffle Ball in their hands at some point, and in this season 3 segment of “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 307), we are in Shelton, Connecticut to learn the history of wiffle ball. The game was bred out of the desire to make the beloved sport of baseball more accessible. What resulted was a light ball that was designed to curve easily. We talk to David Mullany, president of Wiffle Ball Inc. to learn more about the iconic game. To this day, Wiffle Ball remains a staple in American households and will likely continue to do so for a long time.
