On this episode of Weekends with Yankee, cohosts Amy Traverso and Richard Wiese travel to Nantucket with the author of The Official Preppy Handbook, Lisa Birnbach, to learn more about this iconic New England style and to try on some Nantucket Reds at Murray’s Toggery Shop, the ultimate in one-stop preppy shopping. Then it’s on to Tamworth Distilling in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, where they’ve perfected the craft of turning local ingredients into delicious spirits. Next, we pay a visit to Vermont’s Little Fenway, where kids can swing Wiffle Ball bats at a scaled-down Green Monster. Finally, the sporting fun continues as we travel to Connecticut to the first and only Wiffle Ball factory, to see how those magical little sphere balls are made.
