The tourist town of Stowe, Vermont, is known for its skiing and restaurant scene, but it’s also famous for the Von Trapp family, the inspiration behind The Sound of Music. In this season 3 segment of “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 305), we visit the Trapp Family Lodge, a property that was once home to the Von Trapp family, but has since been turned into a rustic European-style resort with an onsite brewery serving Austrian lager. Here, fans of both the film and the beautiful Vermont landscape can join arm in arm to enjoy a wonderful stay.
