New England is a place of many treasures; perhaps that is what drew the attention of the Whydah Pirates! In this season one segment from “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 103), we’re in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, with Barry Clifford for a tour of the Whydah Pirate Museum, home to the only authenticated pirate ship in the entire world. Discovered and excavated by Barry starting in 1984, we’re given an exclusive tour of the museum’s laboratories, conservatories, and exhibits. Prepare to dive into a pirate’s world while looking at treasures dredged up from the bottom of the ocean, including 18th-century coins and cannons.
