Climb aboard for a winter adventure off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. In this season one segment of “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 102), we bundle up and head out with a crew of experienced local fishermen in search of fresh, sweet Atlantic Bay scallops. Along the way, we pay tribute to the rich tradition of scalloping in New England (plus the correct way to pronounce it) and learn what it takes to master the skill of gathering these tasty treats straight from the sea. Finally, we enjoy a delicious raw treat right on the boat – a taste of the sea like nothing else.
