  1. For quite a few years now I have been making this recipe for Thanksgiving. It is so easy to make and is so much better than anything that comes out of a can. All you do is put it in the pan and keep an eye on it> I think I am going to add some orange zest and raisins to change it up a little. We love it!

  2. We have both kinds of cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving. I like the fresh whole cranberries as does everyone in the family, except my middle son, who still enjoys the canned variety. We all kind of tease him about it, but he sticks to his preference and enjoys the humor that results from the joking around.

  3. I liked to add a citrus component to my own sauce. Ocean Spray used to market two flavored jellied cranberry sauces during the holiday seasons. One was orange, and the other a raspberry flavored if my memory serves. I enjoyed both, but I believe both have been taken off the market, or at least in this region (Texas). I can no longer cook due to being disabled, but I wondered if someone had a citrus flavored recipe they could share with those like myself.

P.S. My Mother, who was an English World-War Two bride, and had no experience with our Thanksgiving traditions, always added currants and golden raisins to her cranberry sauce.
