Flames In The Sky
Wilson lake is well loved by Wilton residents. On many a summer evening, you will find a handful of men fishing along the lake’s edge, staying to watch the sunset. I almost had to back up into the road with my 17mm lens while attempting to show off the waves of reds coming out through the remaining thunder clouds. It became most prominent as the sun continued to slide lower toward the horizon.
Trail Of Autumn Leaves
It was peak autumn season of 2010, and colorful leaves were everywhere. As the stream’s waters receeded, the leaves falling into its flow settled among these clusters of rocks, and created a path of them leading one’s eyes down stream, and giving a lovely sense of depth.
Prismatic Mirror
During the later part of the day, when the sun is lowering toward the horizon, side lighting lends reflections of color from the sky and from the neighboring trees onto Wilson stream. With only a slight twist of a polarizing filter, shades of autumn that appear subtle to the eyes becomes beautifully vibrant.
