Feb. 29th, 2012, Leap Day. Out last snow of the season and it didn’t last very long. I managed to get this shot of the Gig in the snow before it changed to rain.

New England without boats would be like the desert without sand. I found this beautiful skiff on a mooring a few days after Hurricane Irene.

Pomham Rocks Light sits at the mouth of the Providence River. It guided ship in and out of the port of Providence for many years.

Winter produces some of the most brilliant sunsets of the year. Clearing storms that allow the sun to break out just before sunset produce color that’s hard to imagine.
