Handmade is all the rage. In this season 7 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 703), we are in New Milford, Connecticut to meet Stacy Kunstel and Michael Partenio, the couple behind Dunes & Duchess, a handmade furniture company. Originally specializing in lighting fixtures, public adoration and demand pushed them into expansion. They now produce all kinds of furniture, using that same handmade technique and signature colored lacquer. In this segment, we learn how Dunes & Duchess came to be and watch the construction of their distinctly New England pieces.
