In this season 7 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode701), we are exploring all the ways in which Boston, Massachusetts honors its history. First, Amy visits the Printing Office of Edes & Gill, a historical, interpretive museum housing a printing press from the revolutionary era. Then, she makes a stop at Neptune Oyster where she tries the restaurant’s namesake shellfish and watches the construction of their Johnny Cake, topped with smoked bluefish. Lastly, she stops by Bostons’ best, Modern Pastry. There, she learns about the origins of the shop and the family that has kept it running for generations.
