Inspired by her own healing journey, this Vermonter set out to heal her community. In this season 6 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 607), we are in Middlebury, Vermont, to meet Bethanie Farrell, founder of the Giving Fridge, an organization dedicated to supplying high-quality food to low-income individuals experiencing food insecurity. Healthy, nutritious meals are supplied by gracious local restaurants, which are reimbursed by the Giving Fridge through plant sales, grants, and donations. In this segment, we talk to Bethanie to learn about her organization as well as her dreams for future expansion.
