Experience a Love for Fiber Animals at Wing & A Prayer Farm in Shaftsbury, Vermont

This farm in Vermont is doing things the old-fashioned way. In this season 6 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 602), Richard is in Shaftsbury, Vermont, to meet Tammy White, owner of Wing & A Prayer Farm. Tammy houses a variety of sheep, alpacas, and more, most of which come to her via rescue. In this segment, Richard helps feed the animals while learning about the origins of the farm. Then, he watches Tammy’s daughter Char sheer the sheep before they dye the fleece using Tammy’s natural, homegrown dyes. From start to finish, this farm is as traditional as they come.
