We’re diving deep into Rhode Island’s coffee centric culture in this season 6 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 601). At the Ocean House in Westerly, Amy orders a warm cup of coffee to thaw this chilly day. Next stop is Dave’s Coffee shop in Charlestown, where Amy meets owner David Lanning and tries a Rhode Island signature, the coffee milk latte. David gives Amy a tour of his production room alongside a coffee tasting, fresh as can be. Lastly, she meets chef Maya Hayes and watches her construct a decadent Opera Cake with Dave’s Coffee Syrup. With all of this caffeine, Amy will definitely be buzzing.
