A special quality of New England is the region’s seasonality and there’s beauty to be found in all of them. In this season 5 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 505), Amy is in Worcester County, Massachusetts, to visit the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill. In this segment, she tours the grounds with horticulture director Mark Richardson and learns about seasonal plants and pruning. Then, she ventures into the conservatories with Robert Burgess for a much-needed break from winter. In a sea of blooming tropical plants, she learns all about the history of the garden and its draw to people longing for a connection to nature.
