If you want a sense of the enduring strength of New Hampshire’s creative culture, visit the community theaters across the state . Today, a number of them have evolved right alongside their hometowns and their building styles and decorative features are as varied as the performances that they host. 

In Keene, New Hampshire, a recent $12 million renovation has breathed new life into the nearly century Colonial Theater. While in Concord the historic Capitol Center for the Arts not only continues to attract world-class talent but the recent addition of a sister venue, The Bank of New Hampshire Stage, has allowed performances that require a more intimate setting to star in New Hampshire’s capitol city.
