In this season 4 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 413), Richard is in Walpole, New Hampshire, to meet painter Eric Aho. Famous for his winter depictions, his art has decorated the walls of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, The Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City. For his current project, Eric cuts a square into the ice for cold plunging and paints it, producing otherworldly images. Beyond its beauty, this project connects Eric to his Finnish heritage, where cold plunging is a popular practice. In this segment, Richard joins him in a cold plunge, luckily the sauna’s on the water’s edge!
